Harvard Student Agencies teams up with McElroy Films!

McElroy Films has partnered with Harvard Student Agencies to help create their new Online ACT Prep initiative! Over the course of our 5 day shoot we will be filming 56 videos for H.S.A. in our green screen studio here in Burlington. Harvard Student Agencies is the largest student run company in the world, and employs over 500 undergraduates students annually. They are a multi-million, non-profit organization that provides Harvard students with meaningful employment and hands-on business experience. This Online ACT Prep initiative will bring the knowledge and experience of the H.S.A. tutors to their participants through a series of web based tutorials. These videos will cover all areas of the ACT test, including Math, Reading, Writing, English, and Science. We are very honored to be of help to such a great organization!

McElroy Films Creates Educational Videos for Healthcasts

McElroy Films LLC recently partnered up with the online resource Healthcasts to create new informational web videos. Healthcasts offers healthcare professionals a physician driven education through video, news articles, interviews with leaders in the medical field, conference footage, and user feedback.

The Boston based video production company had the privilege of filming Michael E. Henry the Medical Director for Massachusetts General Hospital, whom spoke with about the latest studies on mental illness, in particular, Bipolar Disorder. McElroy Films’ Healthcasts credits also include interviews with physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Creating a series of easy to view and host videos is a painless production process if a client works with the right team of professionals. McElroy Films chose to use one camera and a basic three point lighting scheme to film the educational videos.

Healthcasts is a prime example of how and why generating unique video content engages a target audience and builds credibility. The original video content is a response to the feedback and questions of the Healtcasts members who read, watch, and participate in all facets of the website.

Let’s Get Ready

Often, McElroy Films is approached by non-profits looking for a video solution to help their fundraising efforts. In 2013, Let’s Get Ready, a non-profit with locations around New England and beyond, was looking to update their branding in time for their annual fundraising gala. We were able to work within their budget to create a video that describes the mission and successes of the programs. Let’s Get Ready helps kids who might not have the means to continue their education to get into college by helping them study for standardized tests like the PSAT and SAT as well as help them apply for scholarships and financial aid. The programs are broken into sessions that meet up to twice a week for a few hours and are taught completely by collegiate volunteers including many Let’s Get Ready alumni. Every year, the programs help over 3000 kids and raise SAT scores by about 110 points. Most rewarding is the knowledge that 92% of Let’s Get Ready students go directly to college.
