2015 CCFA Take Steps

BJ was the honored hero at the Take Steps Walk in Fairfield, CT

Another year down in the fight against the suffering caused by Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis, two very debilitating digestive diseases.

In this year’s edition, McElroy Film’s videographers were sent to Atlanta, Boston, and Fairfield, CT to film Take Steps Walk Events. This time, the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA) asked to focus the video on BJ, a young boy who has already suffered for years. Despite it all, BJ has developed a very positive outlook on life and has devoted himself to helping raise money and awareness with his parents’ help. Also included are similar voices who have suffered or know someone with the diseases and raised money to help find cures and help keep support programs alive and well.

Boston Pain Care – RFA Procedure Video

McElroy Films has partnered with Boston Pain Care and NeuroTherm to create an educational video highlighting the Radiation Frequency Ablation procedure. This video is meant to educate and inform sufferers of chronic Facet Joint pain about an innovative new procedure that will not only determine where your pain is coming from, but will also temporarily block the affected nerves. We had the pleasure of not only doing a one on one interview with Jenelle Paolini RN-BSN of Boston Pain Care, but we were also invited to film a simulated RFA Procedure with Doctor Carlos Fernando Bazoberry. To supplement this material, and add another level of understanding and depth to this presentation, we also created an animated simulation of the RFA procedure within the video. It is one thing to be told how a medical procedure is performed, but to be able to see it simulated in a way that is simple and easy to understand can give peace of mind to any wary patient.

Honeywell Dehumidifier 3D Animation Video

Kaz Europe has recently unveiled its latest model of top of the line Dehumidifiers for Honeywell, the HDEO10E. In order to properly showcase their newest advancement, Kaz decided to partner with us at McElroy to create an innovative 3D Animation Video. 3D Animation allows us to have complete creative control in our video services, anything is possible with Animation! Not only were we able to freely manipulate the outward appearance of the Honeywell HDEO10E, but we were also afforded the rare opportunity to reveal the internal functionality of the device all through 3D imaging. It is one thing to be able to explain how a product works to a potential client, but allowing them to see it for themselves brings a whole new meaning to “Product Demonstration” videos. Companies of all types should consider the use of 3D Animation and the endless possibilities it can mean for your business.

Victory Programs

Recently, McElroy Films has had the distinct pleasure to work with a local non-profit Victory Programs. The video overviews the many facets of the non-profit including the programs, staff, and methodologies as well as success stories. Victory Programs is dedicated to helping people and their families who may be homeless, have substance use disorders, or chronic health issues like HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis C and mental illness. The staff at Victory, provides a positive, welcoming environment and is committed to helping their clients regain health and restore hope through immediate access to safe and stable housing. An important part of the philosophy of Victory Programs is the individualized procedures and treatments. Victory Programs has 19 health and housing programs throughout Boston, Cambridge and Topsfield including a farm where volunteers grow organic food for the residents of the Victory housing. Serving over 2600 people a year, Victory Programs is really making a difference in the lives of people in the Boston area and beyond.

National Law Enforcement Memorial – Animated Splash Video

McElroy Films had the honor of working with the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund to create a video that both promoted their fundraising event, the Ride & Run to Remember, and their mission to support the families and legacy of fallen Law Enforcement officers everywhere. Part of their goal is to help fund a National Law Enforcement Museum in Washington D.C. to commemorate the history and future of law enforcement in our country.

The video is completely animated and underscored by professional voice over. McElroy Films worked with the NLEOMF every step of the way, drawing up storyboards and scripting. The animation process takes careful planning and producers that can translate the visual language of video in terms that anybody can understand and visualize. Webinar Video – Fenway Institute

McElroy Films had the distinct pleasure to film several webinars for the Boston-based non-profit, Fenway Health, over the last half of 2013. The Fenway Institute, the research arm of the non-profit, uses the webinar videos to educate their own staff and the world at large as to the state of LGBT health including the HIV and AIDS epidemic domestically and abroad. The speakers go to great lengths to condense mountains of data into easy-to-comprehend findings, that help the LGBT community choose the best course of action when it comes to an array of health issues. Many of the webinars count as college credit for many universities in Boston and beyond.

Horrorscope Book Trailer to Screen Nationwide

With last year’s success of the “At Fenway” music video staring William Shatner, ‘croonerman’ Brian Evans has turned his focus to a different facet of the entertainment industry: Writing. Together with his mother, Helen Marie Bousquet and friend, Mark Andrew Biltz, Brian wrote a thriller, ‘Horrorscope’, featuring a psychic that is forced to work for the mafia. Things don’t go too well for the mafia when their entrapped psychic’s death brings forth a violent manifestation of the Zodiac to avenge her mistreatment. The book was officially released the beginning of April to great reviews and is available in stores and online.

To promote the novel, Brian reached out to McElroy Films to create a concept and execute a basic 30 second trailer that will be shown in AMC theaters in the United States and beyond for several months. McElroy Films previously created a trailer for Brian’s ‘At Fenway’ music video that also aired before movies before the start of the Red Sox 2013 championship season with great success.

The Horrorscope trailer features a ‘star chart’ design complete with the Zodiac signs. The music was customized and composed by Chris Bezold, a frequent partner of McElroy Films over the last year, composing work for such videos as the ‘WWPass’ overview and others.

WWPass Overview Video

Manchester, New Hampshire-based WWPass is gearing up to take the business and personal computing world by storm. McElroy Films was enlisted to help WWPass create a series of videos helping to describe how their passkey products can help the online and cloud needs of everyone from small business to the Fortune 500. The video below is the first in a series and give a very basic and comical overview of the WWPass key and some of it’s applications. Future videos will help describe, in depth, how the product works and even more specific applications.

On a time crunch, the team at McElroy Films was able to take this video from script to screen in less than 2 weeks, a monumental undertaking considering the amount of preproduction planning and post production and graphics. Not only did the team complete the product, but was able to lay down custom music and professional voice over, as well as incredible custom graphics to simulate ‘the hacker’ reaching into a laptop and stealing information and files.
